well today i added bedding. seems that in
tray bedding has gone down about 3".
so mixed up bedding and filled the tray.
i even did bedding a little higher in middle
of the tray. i had seen more worms in bottom
collection tray so will be nice to get a 2nd tray
going so bedding is deeper for them. will be
a few more weeks before that. so anyway
i will wait 1-2 days before i start feeding again.
no photo this time. enough of the worm bin on
home page. will do photo when i add tray or
if i do something else.
thanks for looking :tonka:

well it has been a month and a half since
i got the worms. they seem to be doing well.
so today i am adding my 2nd tray. so i mixed
up bedding last night and added tray today.
only real problem is there are white and brown
mites that feed in the bin also. i have read up
on them they are common in worm bins. i had
to have got them with the worm's. not the kind
of mites that eat plant's *knocks on wood. :pullhair:
so anyway added a tray and they should go
thru this one faster. so till next time
thanks for looking :tonka:

Worms are something I definitely look for for growing, well anything, outdoors. If there's a healthy worm population, things will generally grow just fine with no further amendments.

as much as i could fit in tray. they are
going thru more bedding and food now.

go clockwise with feeding 1 more time.

been slow to start only 3 lb's of worms so far been easy.

none yet will add tray #3 in week or 2 then a 4th tray after that
they are eating more so there are lot's more worms. takes 90
days to double and when enough time a bin holds 10-12 lb's
of worms. then they will be making castings much faster.

no i have been only feeding purina worm chow.
