Trump's Tests
Reagan's income tax overhaul with it's outrageous tax cuts absolutely gutted the US financially...and every single tax cut/extension since then has just compounded the problem. US has not paid for a single military incursion since Viet Nam. Reagan decided we could just put them on the credit-card and never pay them off, and every single president since has followed suit.

Well this is a win...

Democrats are not worried...
...according to them, they have Republicans "on the run"...

Trump's Tests
BERNIE SANDERS: Trump and Musk are going after Social Security, Medicaid, the VA, and public education. In what universe, in what world, in what religion is it morally acceptable to cut programs for hungry children in order to reward the wealthy?
Great rally in Kenosha. NO tax breaks for billionaires. NO cuts to Medicaid. NO oligarchy. NO authoritarianism. NO MORE billionaires buying elections.
And now-

Oh no its retarded
The simultaneous idea of wanting everything to be made domestically, while at the same time wanting imports tariffs to be the main source of government income is literally the dumbest idea I have ever heard

Trump's Tests
...NO MORE billionaires buying elections.
Trump pretty much did that...
...
...seeing as the vast majority of billionaires spent their money on Democrats...
...so technically...
Jay Bhattacharya - Director of the National Institutes of Health.
Another win for US...

Peter W. Marocco is Director of the Office of Foreign Assistance at the United States Department of State and Deputy Administrator-designate at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
He is considering referrals to the DoJ for how USAID money was spent...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWVPb2athqc
This is why DOGE is necessary...
...70 people committed theft/fraud of more than $250 million through an NGO...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTeCog-wCXw
...and it gets bigger...much, much bigger...
But how does the 'woke' left react?...
...That is a fukking civil rights lawyer advocating for violence against agents of the government.
And then you wonder why Democrats are becoming so unappealing to most folks.

Trump's Tests
Meanwhile:project 2025 continues
Project 2025’s Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise is all about locking in power for a Republican administration—specifically Trump’s second term as of March 3, 2025—and it’s detailed across its 900+ pages with a mix of structural, legal, and personnel strategies. The core idea is to centralize control in the presidency, neuter opposition (bureaucratic, judicial, or political), and ensure the agenda sticks long-term, even past a single term. It’s less about vague promises and more about actionable steps to reshape how power flows in the U.S. government. Here’s how it details keeping power, pulling from the document and its early 2025 rollout:
1. Centralizing Executive Authority
Weaponizing Schedule F : Chapter 3’s "Presidential Personnel Agenda" (starts page 87) pushes Schedule F (now "Schedule Policy/Career" per EO 14171, signed January 20, 2025) to reclassify tens of thousands of federal workers as at-will employees. This lets the president fire careerists and stack agencies with loyalists who won’t resist orders. It’s already live.

1. Centralizing Executive Authority
...
Weaponizing Schedule F
...
Bypassing Congress: The plan leans on executive orders, rulemaking, and "acting" appointments to sidestep Senate confirmation (page 92). Chapter 1 (page 29) justifies this with a "unitary executive" theory—basically, the president controls everything, and checks like Congress or courts are secondary. Trump’s threatened to withhold funds from non-compliant agencies (e.g., FEMA cuts in February 2025), testing this.

Meanwhile:
Mahmoud Khalil’s arrest has sparked significant attention. He was detained by ICE agents at his university-owned apartment in New York, accused of leading activities “aligned to Hamas,” a designated terrorist organization, according to the Department of Homeland Security. This action aligns with Trump’s executive orders aimed at curbing antisemitism and his administration’s stated intent to target pro-Palestinian protesters, particularly on college campuses. Trump’s comment suggests a deliberate escalation, with Khalil’s arrest serving as a starting point for a wider crackdown.President Trump: “This is the first arrest of many to come.”

Have you actually read the thing?...or are you just regurgitating someone's opinion?

Maybe Jay and Bernie could get together and work on some things.

Do you think that reporter will ever be on Airforce-1 again?

So not only did Trump's illegal immigrant joke kill..
"...turns out we only needed a new president."
Evidently, it's very true as well...
SW Border Encounters in February
2022 - 166,010
2023 - 156,630
2024 - 189, 913
2025 - 8,326

That, is a huge fukking win.

This seemed like a pretty fair discussion aboot the Department of Education goals...
The education reporter seems to think the issues I had are not being axed...loans/Pell grants, education for disabled, extra money for poorer school systems...she seems to think these things will continue, just unsure if they will be in a smaller Department of Education or in other government departments.

I'm still leery aboot it all...we need to cut fat that isn't working, but we need to do better as well.

China slapped tariffs on over $2.6 billion in Canadian goods on Saturday, escalating a trade war that began even before Donald Trump won his second term in the White House.
Canada announced higher tariffs on Chinese steel, aluminum, and electric vehicle (EV) products in October, following up on a wave of duties that Canada, the U.S., and the European Union (EU) began imposing against Chinese-made EVs in August.
When Canada added another 100-percent surtax on EVs and an additional 25 percent to tariffs on Chinese steel and aluminum, China vowed to retaliate. The Chinese made good on that threat on Saturday with 100 percent tariffs on canola oil and peas, plus 25 percent on port and seafood, mirroring Canada’s tariffs on EVs and steel. Canola oil is one of Canada’s biggest exports to China.
China’s retaliatory tariffs are scheduled to take effect on March 20.
