That link has the original pic, it looks like the blue line text got turned to white. I'm unsure when or how that occurred.

Fair enough. But the piont remains that MyGovID is still volunatary, so the reason the website changed is obviously because the first version didn't comply with national law.

So you're initial premise is still wrong.

No-one in Australia has to sign up for anything. Social media is still talking shit if it claims we do. You've still been conned if you believe otherwise. And I am still happy to apologise for any factual errors I have made.

Wait. So the Biden Harris Administration is both recruiting illegal aliens and now losing legal aliens.

So it's a wash ?

Can you site an example of Australian gun laws becoming less restrictive?

The term voluntary can be obfuscated when used in laws.
Like the 1040 tax system being one of "voluntary compliance".

No idea what that 1040 tax system is.

I'm not sure what guns laws have to do with anything, either. Guns are not in our constitution. In many countries, civilians aren't allowed to own firearms, and you can go to jail for many years just for being caught with one.

I like guns. I own guns. But if you're not hunting with them, or shooting them for sport, what do you actually need one for?

It's really only countries like the US where people feel the need to own firearms for self protection . . . because there are already so many of them in circulation that everyone feels nervous just walking down the street. Jeeze, even I feel nervous when I travel to the US and wander around without a gun!

But I don't feel unsafe in Australia.

1040 is our income tax.
The gun question was in context with the image of how government reach tyranny by graduated encroachments over time.
The 2nd amendment to possess firearms aren't for hunting or home protection, but for overthrowing a tyrannical government, or invading armies.
The Federalist Papers addressed the issue of standing armies and the militia1. Alexander Hamilton argued that the Constitution was necessary for national security reasons and thus standing armies were sometimes needed to secure the liberties of the people1. The Second Amendment was intended to protect individual liberty by stopping the federal government from instituting gun restrictions of any kind2. The founders wanted to ensure citizens had the ability to defend themselves against a tyrannical national government and other domestic threats, as well as from foreign invaders2.
