Munchy, what spam controls are in place?
I ask because over the years we've had a lot of folks post up once (or maybe a couple times) and then never return...as well we've had a lot of accounts created but never post. So I'm just wondering if there are some restrictions in place on new accounts that could be the reason for folks giving up.
aside from not being able to re-use an email
this how we need to keep spam from appearing openly,
but I haven't seen it being used for quite awhile:
New member post limit:
New members are within the Newly Registered Users group until they reach this number of posts.
You can use this group to keep them from using the PM system or to review their posts.
This restriction has often been waived early when requested and vouched for.
I just ran into a new brand of captcha-picture thing,
but Roller probably knows more about that or anything else that may be going on, like Russia may be blocked.
if someone has the spare time to start a new email and a test account, give it a try and see what happens.
