remember uhf?
you know
that other set of TV bands beside the primaries,
here in LA there ways this screaming crazy dude who ran one and they played him around the clock
he had a radio station too and it went on and on
what was interesting about him is he was hot on the great pyramid alot of the time and believed its builders had predicted the future in its construction. particularly the inside passages.
said there was a 'pyramid inch' and using it every twist and turn of the inside marked a significant date in humanity
least as western chauvinism agreed to it in the early 80's
as a kid on my transistor radio i listen to alot of him...
if you drove into downtown LA he had a giant 'jesus saves' sign on his building
he also owned the address 'post office box 1' in los angeles.
had a big church down there and whats crazy was kids under 10 didnt go to any sunday school
he had a fleet of buses and the kids got taken to museums all over town in their years growing up
rather inciteful for a crank.
his church amassed so many ancient artifacts they had their own museum
when he was giving his sermons hed have a white boards he would slash all over as he opined
and they ended up an hour later so marked up i always wondered at them like art
and wondered if they stored each one away in some vault somewhere
skip to 3:51 to catch him at his worst...

Interesting fact:
Did you know that most military and some civilian aircraft that fly into very remote areas are still equipped with UHF? It is the only long-range frequency you can use when beyond VHF range, which is typically around 90 nautical miles when flying under 10,000 feet.

When they first migrated to digital signaling, there was chatter about using the bandwidths for data.
Are the aircraft using the same frequency? could be interesting to eavesdrop.

Earliest tv memories is of Captain 20 gerbil races on wash. DC local. Lol Early 70s. Dick Disyl was also Count Gore Da Vol on Creature Feature late night Saturdays. He's still kicking it all these years later only now like everyone else he's online instead of network TV

We also used to run home from school to catch Dark Shadows. It was fucking torture sitting through the soap drama, but it was your best bet to catch a werewolf on Tv at 4 pm
