The most accurate thing that Alex Jones ever exposed was with his domain name Infowars.
As we have discussed propaganda, it should be impressed that information has been weaponized and is as vital to today's militaries as the conventional weapons being deployed.
This thread is a perfect microcosm for how this operates as a tactic of shaping both the public's and the troop's morale and mindset.
Mass media has long been under the influence of governmental agencies, and mega sponsors to stay within the boundaries of the set narrative in which it wishes to feed the public. The internet and it's non-centralized structure provided a new stream for the flow of information. The narrative is often challenged but worse, the opposing viewpoints are diminishing the blinded compliance targeted through information controls.
Governments world wide are now all scrambling to enable a system that can filtrate out any information not deemed fit for consumption without guidance on how to react or think about what is published.
Enjoying the right to free speech has always been a priority here. We even went so far as to allow one individual's espousals to diminish membership to a number far less than than our potential. Had that person coupled the responsibility of decorum which is the core of self expression, opposed to testing the boundaries of moderation through antagonism, the site could have been a beacon for free discussion for growers. Maintaining the minimalist moderation has proven to be a positive. This is one of the few places that one can go against the grain or just play the devil's advocate without being put in the public stockade of shame in the world of viral opinions.
Anywho, I like this guy because he has taken on approaching world events through the lens of censorship, and he's putting out some very good examinations of the mechanics of controlling the mind.
Elon Musk telling the ad sponsors to go fuck themselves was music to my ears this morning.
