Old seed starting experiment

I decided to drop a second batch of seeds, because I am feeling saucy. These are all my old black mamba x Bogglegum crosses from nearly 20 years ago.

The only thing that I will do differently with this batch is to add a half teaspoon of molasses and brown sugar to a half cup of boiling water. Once it cools down a bit I will add a teaspoon of h2o2 and drop in the seeds. They’ll stay in there until they sink, at which time I will immediately plant them.

I scuffed the edges of each seed with a fine nail file, too.

Just thought I'd drop this here

I can understand how hydrogen peroxide is a preferred method for simpletons and beginners, but give me sandpaper or even better toenail clippers and I’ll challenge anyone to a race on seeds that take two three years in the wild to germinate like memosa or redbuds, I’ll have them sprouting fresh off the tree in less than 48 hours, I doubt hydrogen peroxide would even weaken the hull.

The first batch of seeds (the old ones) went kaput, and they only grew mold. Bummer.

It’s another new Supermoon, so I decided to give it another shot.

I’m getting ready to completely redo the growroom, so I’ll end this thread (for now- I’ll update as I attempt to start more seeds) and start a different one for the new grow.
