They haven't looked into this stuff. It's not their name under penalty of perjury.”

They started out a priori "there was fraud" and then twisted it into the big lie. Now Lark calls that research? More like political theatre.

Its about defamation. Not about the hypothetical veracity of the voting machines. Courts already decided the election was NOT stolen by machines or otherwise.
FOX NEWS aired false claims about a stolen election, alleging that Dominion was part of a plot to steal votes from defeated former president Donald Trump. Fox repeatedly continue to air known unsubstantiated election accusations. Dominion also sued Trump affiliated attorneys Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani.

It's about the big lie and fuck around and find out

I don't know about the trial date, both sides have requested a summary judgment. Judge Eric Davis currently has sealed the details.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious concerning the video

I know what the lawsuit alleges as well. I read the complaint.
I think the context of the political climate, and other factors should make a phenomenal 1st amendment court battle.

Courts already decided the election was NOT stolen by machines or otherwise.

I thought most courts refused to hear the case...which one handed down the verdict? I missed that.

I don't know how current this is, but calls for a jury.

Naturally, Fox will try to settle this case. It seems as though Fox has not yet made any settlement offers, but that will change. After the summary judgment motions are decided, and as trial approaches, both sides’ knees will weaken, and settlement talks will begin.

Smartmatic’s lawsuit against Fox News has attracted only a fraction of the attention garnered by the legal action of Dominion Voting Systems. Yet both firms are suing Fox for defamation related to its coverage of Donald Trump’s stolen-election lie, and both pose a serious threat to Fox’s finances and reputation.

In fact, on paper Smartmatic’s suit appears to be the more dangerous. It’s demanding damages of $2.7bn, compared with Dominion’s $1.6bn.

So far, attempts by Fox lawyers to have the Smartmatic case dismissed have fallen on stony ground. Last week the New York state supreme court in Manhattan gave the green light for the case to proceed against Fox News, the Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, the former business anchor Lou Dobbs and Trump’s former lawyer Rudy Giuliani.
