Veg Day 21...

Very interesting that the roots don't seem to be the least bit interested in the drain hole in the bucket. They're very interested in the air stones. Subsuming them :winky:

The roots gave me this impression...

:roflmao:

They're loving their buckets, especially the stones. The roots are curling back UP into the bucket (DOWN in the above image :roflmao:).

It may not look like it but the trimming got more aggressive the deeper I got into the process.

The aftermath...

I exchanged the seemingly Excessive Sawdust on the floor with Beautiful Greenery! :roflmao:

Garden II Vegetative 0099 05182022.jpg
Garden II Vegetative 0100 05182022.jpg

The flower pot bellow forcefully squished down...a 2 gallon pot...

Garden II Vegetative 0101 05182022.jpg

I hadn't cleaned up because I had dropped one of the original "finish" screws in the Brothers Made Coffee Table Base and I didn't want to lose it or have it sucked up in either my Dust Collection or Dust Extraction systems or my Shop Vac! :winky:

Both types of floor covering are appealing to me! :roflmao:

Make it a great night, folks!

Seeing the root pics, I was wondering if you had air stones in the pots...or whether you just used res aeration.
The stones work wonders. ...#2's roots are phenomenal.
You getting much vibration noise from the air pump or the stones?

2 air stones for aeration in the Reservoir...the buckets have their own air stones, yes sir.

Yes, the roots look amazing - thank you, brother! Super healthy, until maybe today. Heat issues in the Res. Not sure why. Trying to sort it out now.

No, no vibration anywhere in the system. I have the Air Pump suspended from the ceiling using large rubber Bungee Cords that isolate that vibration. IF allowed, it can be a VERY noisy and vibrating machine!

The most noise I even hear is the nutrients RUSHING into the Reservoir at Mach Speed through the ONE INCH fill hose :roflmao:, and then it's only when I'm right there next to the space - for instance, when I have my head on my pillow.

Hey, I'm going to PM you, man...

Thanks for the visit and discussion, I appreciate it!

It Could Have Gone Worse! :-D

It 'could have' been worse!

I think those vanes will snap back in place - I'm hoping.

Now, it's best that I provide this unit with Intake Air...fresh air in. A dual hose setup. IF you don't provide fresh air it circulates the air wherever the end of the hose is...

I'm going to try and bring fresh air in through my second Doran Light-Proofed Dark Room Vent.

Not much I can find wrong with these……I wouldn’t get too aggressive with pruning healthy fan leafs, people do it to let light get down further but I personally think it hurts yield and quality….You should do a side by side with the same strain one pruned the other not…..I grew the same strain for about 10 years in DWC buckets and did all kinds of side by sides.

You ain't kidding there. Mine was just a little 4 outlet pump...set on the floor, it's vibration could be heard throughout the whole house.:p
I too had to suspend it with a bungee cord, which eliminated aboot 99% of the noise. But then I could hear the stones rattling around in the bottom of the bucket...so I set the bucket on 1" styro with a piece of carpet on top of it. Almost sound free at that point. Probably didn't help that I was only using two of the outlets on the pump. A concrete basement floor would be better...but alas I have no basement.
