seriously though, I've only ever seen growers taking the entire plant at harvest day. Has anyone ever just taken the ripe buds and left the lower buds growing to their full potential. I see this with almost every other plant that grows... you don't pick green fruit or undeveloped beans. Why do we just chop down the whole plant?

BTW. a lot of growers stagger their harvest. Do you remember Flo? She was named because of her perpetual harvest. You could take the top buds and then a week later take the next lot and she would continue to flower.

Yes I've done that several times. It's situational to be honest. Harvesting whole plants sometimes you get more potent lowers / more flavorful smaller buds due to their micro climate under the mains imo
