30 day cold shower challenge !!!
Well technically bowls. I smoke maybe a gram a day...a puff here, a puff there. And even as I'm hitting the bowl to curb the desire I'm thinking, this is not what I want...I'm craving tobacco. I'm assuming my body/brain is craving the nicotine. When I'm doing things that require a lot of brain activity (debating, or composing long posts), the desire for that nicotine is very pronounced.

Nicotine cravings can persist even after years of quitting smoking. Here are some reasons why you might still experience cravings:
Neurological Changes: When you quit smoking, your brain receptors adjust to the lack of nicotine. Initially, this causes withdrawal symptoms, including cravings. Over time, your brain forms memory traces linking nicotine to certain activities or situations, which can last for years and trigger cravings even after quitting1.
Psychological Adjustments: Cigarettes often serve as coping mechanisms. After quitting, finding new ways to manage stress or emotions can be challenging, leading to temporary mood changes and cravings2.
Underlying Health Issues: Quitting smoking may reveal underlying health problems that were masked by smoking. These issues can make you feel worse, even though they’re not directly related to quitting2.
Healing Lung Function: While lung function improves after quitting, persistent coughing or shortness of breath may occur even months later as your lungs clear out debris or heal from past smoke exposure

That's something I don't miss...the morning coughing, until I got a couple cigarettes down.
That disappeared pretty quickly, maybe just a month or so. Ain't been hacking up shit since really.

4 months shy of being 3 years in smoking cessation.
Finally managed to do chin-ups after fucking trying for ages, now i can do 10 at a time, really works and i can feel my chest and abs changing,
my diet is still shit though i give into cravings like biscuits and processed foods, but this time i didn't buy any of that crap escpially energy drinks,
i was telling the doctor about aspartame in energy drinks, and he told me, that he would rather drink refined sugar than to drink aspartame, so i fucked of the energy drinks...

30 day cold shower challenge !!!
July marks my two year point. Next month will take me into the longest time I've quit. And I still want to smoke every day...multiple times a day. Still a struggle, but much easier than when I first quit. Now I need a new lie (goal) to tell myself to stay off them, because I'm really looking forward to starting again. . Maybe...just double my record. That will get me another two years down the road.

Well, think of it this way...
...when I quit cigs, I had been smoking for aboot 88% of my life...
...and even after two years now, I've only dropped that number to 85%.
Even cannabis, which I still smoke, is only at just below 72%.
I just started way too early and ingrained the habit during my childhood development I think.
I'm pretty positive for staying the course now.
My Diner friend is just over 6 months now.
She does not get the urge as much as I do...
...but we encourage each other to stay off them.
We both know if we have just one, we'll then go buy a pack.
However, if the doc gave me an expiration date, or the end of the world was in sight...I'd start right back up.
