Water Extraction vs Dry Ice Hash

Yield is kind of irrelevant with dry ice hash......the longer you work it the higher the yield goes up but the quality goes down.

You should use a second screen to get the little crap out too.

Water hash is way better and worth the work.

Roots you are correct to a degree. The very light colored water extracted hash is better tasting and a stronger high.
But the light colored dry ice hash is still pretty good. While it may be slightly stronger and better tasting the yield is far superior with dry ice. I guess if you just want what you want and then perhaps the extra work is worth it to you. I have several ounces of water extracted hash that I smoke by itself. I do the same with the light colored dry ice hash. The slightly darker color I usually mix in bowls of weed and joints.
And as far as I’m concerned yield does make a difference.

doing the dry ice method
the product i came up with was blonde if not white

surprising concidering what is typical doing the water method
the intolerance of the old order is emerging from the rosy mist in which it has hitherto been obscured.

And that was just Shaking the bag for a few minutes.

I did take Roots advice and used both bags suggested by the video. This time I saw no color change in the product and didn’t try to get everything.

Thats not what I said to do....What I said you need to do is use a second bag to get all the little crap (dirt and dust) out of your finished product....I would use a 45u and see whats falls through...what ever falls through is trash. no need for the dry ice in the second screening but you need to work in cool temps to keep the pile from clumping.

....also a good thing to do is collect the first 5 seconds of your run and then use a new collecting tray for the rest.....that first five seconds should be pretty contaminant free compared to the what comes after.

Ok so I followed what was done on the video. I keep my trim and small buds in a sealed plastic container and burp it like I would bud. Everything is washed, bags, table, bucket, and scale tray.

What do you do with your bud, wash it before use?
Papers too? How about that pipe you smoke out of, clean it before and after every use?

Water Extraction vs Dry Ice Hash

hi
i like dry sift dry ice is a way to get it.
when you use water you loose a lot of terps.
some terps we like are water soluble. so get
lost in the water. i have never done the dry ice
method. i vibrate on a flat screen over glass.
just made a dry sift maker. got 2 bugs yet to
work out. it works well just got noise and static
to work out. got parts to finish it just been lazy.
nice stuff oldjoints..
