Water Extraction vs Dry Ice Hash
For years I have been making hash via bubble bags and water extraction. I loved the product but hated the time and effort to achieve that final product.
Recently someone was telling me about using dry ice for the procedure instead.
I had nothing to lose except some trim and popcorn buds so figured I would give it a try.
Here are the results:
Water hash normally takes me 4-6 hours to finish up and that doesn’t include cleaning the bags.
The dry ice process took me 1/2 hour in total. I haven’t done ice extraction since. I do like the taste of the water extracted hash slightly better but not enough to actually go through that process again. Especially since I think the dry ice produced a larger harvest.

Here is the video I used to do the process:
The only things I did different was I used only one bag as it was obvious when the color changed and easily separated so saw no need to use a second bag.
The other change was that I couldn’t find dry ice pellets so I took 3 lbs of a dry ice block and put it in a cloth kinda like silk so no fibers would come off and beat the dry ice with a hammer until I had small pieces…..

The Grocers in my area carry dry ice in pellets. You have to ask where it is, because they keep it in the back most of the time.
I think it's because fishing is so popular in the area, but plus/plus, I'll be trying this for sure.
impressive.

one thing about the ice method is the vigorous shaking can be tough on your elbows
but that said,
if your cool with not breaking your hash down into several different screen sizes
it can be a great way to go

Im just a one or two plant production here. Hash extraction is almost not worth the effort. I usually do this when out of bud, and only ever get a couple grams
This will be much simpler, so better for a small grower imho
