Unless you're in central most southern Michigan, you're not likely to see them. Even around here where it's heavy, some areas don't have them at all.

Cicadas 2021
Now that I never knew. I grew up in a broodx zone, and remember them quite well. They were fascinating to me as a kid, lot's of fun to stick those shells in girl's hair. Talking with my brother last night, we both recall them showing up in the hottest days of July and August...so maybe they just haven't popped up in MI yet.
