After enjoying the fruits of your labors, we all need a place to chill. This is that place. Totally senseless irrelevant banter encouraged.

Elon Musks's Starship rocket has made its first test launch, flight and intact landing – before suddenly exploding minutes later. After a delay to the initial flight, SN10 lifted off from Boca Chica, Texas, reaching an altitude of 10 kilometres, before descending and landing upright, albeit apparently on fire at its base. Three minutes after touchdown and soon after the SpaceX live stream was turned off, the rocket exploded. The landing was at least better than the last two times, where the prototypes crashed down and exploded.

Yet It made it down safely and accurately even under duress.

Chinese astronauts land after 6 months on space station
BEIJING (AP) — Three Chinese astronauts returned to Earth on Saturday after six months aboard their country’s newest orbital station in the longest crewed mission to date for China’s ambitious space program.
The Shenzhou 13 space capsule landed in the Gobi desert in the northern region of Inner Mongolia, shown live on state TV.
During the mission, astronaut Wang Yaping carried out the first spacewalk by a Chinese woman.
The trio were the second crew aboard Tiangong, or Heavenly Palace. Its core module, Tianhe, was launched in April 2021. Plans call for completing construction this year by adding two more modules.

China launched 2 rockets back-to-back just ahead of astronauts' landing

A milestone for commercial space exploration.
Alongside a retired NASA astronaut, the men launched from Florida on Friday as part of a private SpaceX launch.

The four men were welcomed onboard the ISS on Saturday by the crew there as NASA joins Russia in hosting guests at the world's most expensive tourist destination.
The American, Canadian and Israeli businessmen each paid $55m (£42m) for the rocket ride and accommodation.
The launch, codenamed Ax-1, was commissioned by Axiom Space, a US space infrastructure developer.
Michael López-Alegría, the former NASA astronaut who escorted the men, is the company's vice president of business development.

The launch was the sixth human spaceflight conducted by SpaceX and the first private launch that it has docked with the ISS.

SpaceX lands rocket in flawless Easter flight
:woohoo:

SpaceX launches US spy satellite, lands rocket in flawless Easter flight
Office (NRO) and landed the returning rocket back on Earth today (April 17), acing a spaceflight twofer on Easter.

A two-stage Falcon 9 rocket carrying the NROL-85 spacecraft lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California today at 9:13 a.m. EDT (1313 GMT; 6:13 a.m. local California time)

The SpaceX rocket's two stages separated about 2.5 minutes later. The first stage headed back to Earth, making a vertical touchdown at Vandenberg's Landing Zone 4 roughly eight minutes after launch in what may be the ultimate bunny hop on the Easter Sunday holiday. SpaceX ended its live webcast of the launch just after the Falcon 9 landing at the NRO's request due to the mission's classified nature.

SpaceX launched four astronauts to the International Space Station for NASA on Wednesday, less than two days after completing a flight chartered by millionaires.
The astronauts were due to arrive at the space station Wednesday night, 16 hours after a predawn liftoff from Kennedy Space Center that thrilled spectators.

SpaceX has now launched five crews for NASA and two private trips in just under two years. Elon Musk’s company is having an especially busy few weeks: It just finished taking three businessmen to and from the space station as NASA’s first private guests.

Stage one successfully lands. Beautiful.

Launch, stage1 landing and successful insertion.
