So here is my low tech solution to engaging the cans.
I need to go to the thumb screw store and pick up at least 4 to be installed in the center of each opening.

Well the big day has arrived and I am ready to give it a go.
The valves fell out already but the silicone adheres really well and is still in place and hot glue seems to stick well to both silicone and the plastic tips so I am hopeful this will work.
I put the tower together with cotter pins for now because if I am able to get some of that DME it comes in a taller can, but it may skirt the new cannabis law here because of its newness.

Tonight was the first test and I must report a minor set back. I had installed my filters with elastic bands previously and they performed fine but tonight during the 2nd can in 2 chambers the screens blew off so I am waiting for the evaporation to replace them and beef them up with clamps and a rubber gasket.

The good news is that the heating pad made the evap very fast.

So this is the result of the final 11 cans and it worked well.
I plan to build a stronger unit out of plexi glass with blow out zones on the ends to protect the operator and offer my services to local growers.
This is open source so feel free to run with it if you can.

I would go out of my why to electrically ground that fan and all those parts...

howd that seal between your copper tubes and that plastic lid work out?

just are they just held in the hole you cut by some adhestive sealant?

There is a silicone seal on both sides of the lid and they are anchored by a ring clamp screwed into the wood divider. That seal held up fine but my valves did come out again. I have some ideas percolating to fix that. I could smell the butane outside the garage but not inside and I probably will not use this cabinet again. It was a test and showed the theory is sound, but it can be improved and will be before I go again.
