wow you dont get payed for xmas holidays??? i thought you guys had it good
i get 28 days per annum payed
plus all the bank holidays payed or we can take a *lieu day
xmas holidays payed
*Days in lieu (alternative holidays) If you work on a public holiday and it's a day you usually work, you'll get a paid day off you can take later. This is usually called a day in lieu or an alternative holiday.

we are allowed to take the single day off though
but the idea of it being a paid day is communism and we slander socialism any chance we get
you see, American have no respect for their own health and any report on its care is slandered as science unless of course it involves buying a product that's grossly expensive
