The gif does work you just have to click on the picture for full size and then it'll play.

Why do you think he quit, he was down a knight, But not hopeless. did he not expect you taking his knight, was there any other move you had to stop the check?

he asked for a draw after i took his knight i denied it, and he quit... he had a higher ranking than me too, we could have exchanged knights but i dont think he realized that and made a silly move and i took his knight with my pawn and he got angry for making a rookie mistake and asked for draw and then quit,,

i grew up playing chess
then in 20's a friend took an interest so we started playing

he and our other friend had this 4 player chess board
rediculous game
i quickly talked them into letting me play two games at once,
regular chess against both of them at the same time

he had an uncanny ability to gain advantage quick
crazy

now, he didnt know how to defend it but it got me buying chess books and reading.
but chess books are all about openings and it was mostly over my head then

ive still got those books but their packed in boxes.

We should see if we can get chess game for the forum. It would be cool we could play each other and have a ranking system and have a room where others can watch,, just a thought....

played another game ,lasted a bit longer, i lost some key pieces erlier on due to me not being on the ball, but got the better off him and he quit..
