Well here it is. The light has been modified. No dimmer. Added 10 more watts.
Clones are Jack Herer F1's from seed. I think tomorrow I will set things to flower and count that as day one. The CFL is a ProLume 42 true watts(very nice spectrum)3. It's old though, 2-3 years.
This one and the other with the CFL on show the light from the CFL only out penetrating the LEDs part way down the wall and you can see colors on the floor from the LEDs. Penetration shouldnt be an issue.

The advice I got from someone with experience is this "I suggest 12 to 18" in veg. 8 - 12" in flower".
They are about 8" now it looks like. Might be too close. My plan is to watch the plants and adjust accordingly.

I think those led's lumens penetrate better than that the rule of squared whatever states...

I think we'd probably have heard about it through other channels if physics had stopped working properly.
