More of the indoor and outdoor chilli harvest.
The black streaks on some of the outdoor crop are caused by not enough warmth & sunshine.
If put in a warm place they can ripen and loose the streaks.
I quite like a mix of red and green chili.

Many thanks!
I have found that chillis from the same plant can have different heat levels.
When chilli is sent to a lab for testing they take a large bunch of them, dry them and then grind to a powder for the heat test.
Therefore they are taking an average heat level for that variety.
The hottest raw chilli I ate this year was from an outdoor grown Naga Morich.
It seemed a touch hotter than the Bhut Jolokia I grew last year but there aint much in it really between the Naga & Jolokias.
That said I cooked a curry with only 4 little Dorset Nagas picked in lemon juice and wine vinegar and that was almost too hot to eat.
I tasted Naga in my breath for 48 hrs.......
As they say... "Only a man that has gone too far............knows how far a man can go."
Here's a Trinidad Scorpion that I ate raw with some Ale and also some Date, Apricot, Red Onion, Stem Ginger and Naga Chutney that I knocked up.
