Fair point on the kids. But, if Trump indeed said that, then some clarification is needed. By "children of undocumented immigrants", do you mean children that cross the border?...or children born in the US to illegals?...or both?

Fair enough point. I'm a firm believer in the born here = citizen doctrine. However, that opens a can of worms. You can't reward the parent's bad behavior...but separating children from parents is a horrible solution. So how do you balance the two?

While Homan is definitely the right guy to accomplish Trump's goals, there are pros & cons...
Pro:
He advocates deportation of undocumented immigrants and opposes sanctuary city policies.
He was a Border Patrol agent, investigator, and supervisor before being appointed by President Barack Obama to Executive Associate Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement in 2013.
Con:
...among the most strident proponents of separating children from their parents as a means of deterring illegal entry into the country and curbing human trafficking
Homan joined the Heritage Foundation in February 2022 and became a contributor to its Project 2025

Those cons seem like an awful big price to pay for the pros.
