Never saw it applied to cannabis. :dunno:
But I did once watch a rather lengthy video of an outfit in Florida that raised tilapia fish with vegetables and herbs, that they sold to local restaurants. It was quite interesting, and he did stress the importance of finding the right balance for the system to work efficiently.

I follow Potent Ponics on YouTube and it's all about the fish water techniques. He's also been on the Potcast discussing it. It sounds super cool, but you have to be willing to go all in on that style of growing...

Not the fish
You’d pump the fish tanks water through your hydroponic system. Their waste was the nutrients for the plants

well has to be large to work. a lot to it. i know someone
up in canada huge place but it does work. he has been
at it for years. proper fish food is the trick he has his made.
but mostly not around much because needs to be large to work proper.
