been reading as always. well reading about veg seeds but would be any seed.
ok seeds have a oil on them to wash off and let seed know it's time to sprout.
so oil as it ages gets harder and will become like a lacquer. you have seen this
with bad gas and such or oil for treating wood. old seeds the oil is dryer and harder.
reading there is a guy that has a way to remove oils. soak seed 30 minutes in 80 proof vodka.
then he rinses them with chamomile tea water. sets on top of paper towel in a bag and gets
sprouts quicker. like some 20 day to germ seeds were up in 7-10 days. made me wonder if people
that use peroxide to pre soak. that maybe that is what it is doing is thinning or removing the oils
around the seed. then the chamomile tea water was interesting.
