the chem z that grows the buds on a shade leaf.
noticed this tonight. got a branch off of a shade leaf. can see better after i removed dead leaf it's growing on. kind of cool. also is not drooping as bad now.

have done some reading on sprouting old seeds.
here is what i think. the seed has a oil on seed casing.
the older it gets the harder it gets. think oil to lacquer.
some say scuff the seeds. that would scratch some off.
some say peroxide to soften oils before sprouting.
some say * i like this 1* to soak seed in 80 proof vodka
for 1/2 hour. then rinse and sprout with chamomile tea.
i think it all comes to softening the outer seed shell if the
inner is still viable. just kind of my thoughts.

Sounds like good advice. I don't know why I didn't do it before, so I popped a few seeds between my teeth.5/5 beautifully white and viable. One of the shells was paper soft. Feel good about that.
I considered scraping them. Jes Lazy?
Actually if these guys take awhile to finally pop. And my old vegetable seeds did pop eventually.. mostly.
It might work out for me cuz I'm going to want some males, the longer they take to flower the better.
