I never tried the actual PR back in the day so I can't really say whether this is genuine tasting or not. However to describe it's taste & smell is mostly sandalwood, soap, incense, juicy fruit gum. Kinda hard to pinpoint It does have a genuine old school scent and taste from back before we did taste tests, beck when weed was just weed flavor wise. The high is remenecent also, heady, clear, intense.

I had some columbian red, but never a confirmed panama. My sister and her friends use to sing the song at nauseum. God, I remember long car trips were sheer torture.
I did get some real Acapulco Gold once with some surfers in OC. Very good weed for the times.
And some guy in Vegas smoked me up on some Hawaii grown Afghan Kush, which zombified my ass.

The late 70s when I started getting high, pretty much everything we got was good. Columbian Gold, Acapulco Gold, Jamaican, alot of good hash.

Early 80s when the sinsemillas hit the streets, the imported bud and hash were replaced in large part by low quality brown Mexican brick weed. Homegrowing was the future at that point.
Now it's coming full circle.
