Hey rSin, I'm working on DYI dog food, for a dog with diabetes. I get oat meal there, the oats are huge, red clover seed, fenugreek seeds, I also picked up, dry kidney's, spilt peas, lentils, chick peas, a few other items. The sprouts pack all the goodies of the whole plant, and dry goods are cheaper, they just get over night soaked, a few drains and refills, then cook them.
Looks like $10.00 of dry items will make about 2 weeks worth of food. I contacted a butcher to get cheap cuts of some fowl, beef, chicken, and bag of bones for bone broth soup. The folks can not afford the $800.00 a month for insulin, so will try a pill and food that does not spike blood sugar, like cheap dog food will.

I had no idea that Vanilla Bean could be extracted and sugar could be made at home. I just never considered that!!
