The World Economic Forum’s Klaus Schwab proclaimed that Communist China will likely serve as a “role model” for many countries as the global community embarks upon a “systemic transformation of the world”.
In an interview with the Chinese state-run television network CGTN, World Economic Forum (WEF) chairman and founder Klaus Schwab heaped praise on the communist government in Beijing for being a leading figure in his vision of a Great Reset of capitalism to usher in the “world of tomorrow”.
Yall cheering on the world being turned into a prison, I don't get it.
If you think a communist chinese style global authority will have a speck of concern for individual rights, you are truly a fool.
Somebody brought up the experiment with the 20 men who were divided up and half became guards and half became inmates..... yeah that.
I don't see the correlation of your statement to this post unless you think that well built bridges define a society.
All that shit comes pretty cheap and easy when the labor pool is cheap and easy.... like in a totalitarian authoritarian oligarchy... just grab a few thousand subjects and put them on the project.
Worked in Egypt when slaves built the infrastructure for the pharaohs.
Worked in Greece when the commoners built the infrastructure for the aristocrats.
Worked in Rome when slaves built the infrastructure for Caesar
Worked in Australia when the prisoners built the infrastructure for the Monarchy.
I hope you enjoy shoveling gravel ... I'm quite certain you won't be the guy who drives the $50k electric car down that new highway. More like the guy on the labor bus coming home from a 12 hour day, with nothing to look forward to except returning the next day.
the concern is that standards and means go with infrastructure projects and as your projects start popping up all over other institutions bend to their way of doing things because thats were the good money is running
we did it ourselves and made room for another actor to displace us by leaving the societys we exploited susceptable to needing a better deal
the intolerance of the old order is emerging from the rosy mist in which it has hitherto been obscured.
And when there is no competitive world power and all are under one banner.
Do you think that their concerns will be whether or not the roads and bridges are in good order?
I'll tell you how it will go down.
In the new world order when a bridge needs built, a set amount of money will be provided. Let's say 20 million just for the purpose of example.
After the bids are all in from builders, Bureaucrat Bob will give it to his buddy Bribing Barry who charges the full 20 million but kicks back 10% to Bob.
This continues down the chain until the 2 million dollars left over builds the substandard bridge, but that's ok because the safety inspector Sam has a new car now thanks to Barry.
10 years later the bridge needs building again.
But who needs bridges
No travel will be necessary because every city in the world will have pretty much exactly what the other cities have. Rubber stamped corporate mediocrity.
