latest...happy 4th arson man!

im in seiad valley california, my 4th resupply my first missing resupply box that was lost in the mail was foun d and rerouted to here. good, my extra reading glasses were in there.

bought my first legal week in Brookings oregon on the coast. didnt need to but why not, tried something called aminal face, meh.. my stuffs better

oregon caves national monument was a bust. couldnt get a tour of the caves, on had to buy a ticket 30 miles away and then show up within hours for the tour, no reservations, impossible when your on foot, took me two days to get there.their policy changed after i left and i had no idea till i showed up. oh well, best laid plans of mice and men... i moved on. the last section through red butte winderness was beautiful. 40 miles of good trail hiking, sweeping vistas, old growth forests, cold springs and wildflowers out the wazoo. i didnt see anybody for 6 days. until i hit the PCT yesterday, saw three people, getting a little crowded here <grin>

broke the frame on my new pack, while on the organ clast. talked to the company, osprey, and they said they would send me a new pack there, jus send the old one back. they actually had a process for long distance hikers in the field. joys it here!

theres a wildfire around the city of weed. making the skies very hazy.

and much more stuff.
oh and yeah, im getting to old, left knee acting up, sunburned, beat up and having a good time!

High y'all...
The marble mountains were awesome! Play It Again Sam! A whole freakin Mountain out of white marble, even the fire rings and sitting benches all made out of white marble, too cool.

i'm in the town of Etna. Kicking back in the city park with a rotisserie chicken and steamed a big pot of broccoli, bananas for dessert,, all washed down with 530 Wheat ale from Farmers Brewing Company.
Heaven.
Temperatures blissfully cool in the mountains, depressingly hot in town, still Smoky Skies down low from the Shasta fire.
I'll try another update tomorrow whilst taking care of business,, laundry, repairs, women, beer.
