IF your EF has improved 5% over the 15% you originally mentioned, that's a vast improvement. It's not near what is normal - 55% for a person your age without heart problems - but, a 5% improvement is dramatic, relatively.

I was asked this question a while back; well, what are you going to do? My response; I'm going to go as hard as I can for as long as I can, period.

my dad is 81 and smoked since he was 13 and still smoking

he's had his first heart attack at 52 and had over 4 heart attacks, open-heart surgery, stents put in almost every artery that's going into his heart, and last month he had covid /pneumonia and he bounced back..

give yourself some time and then start exercising and doing cardio slowly at first and then build it up..

ps... i was gonna start a fitness/cardio thread recently, been thinking about it....
