The Truth About Corona Virus
In MI we are seeing a second wave of new cases. We peaked at 1,626 (7 day moving average) on April 4, dropped to 150 on June 10, and are now back up to 586. But deaths have not had a second wave. We peaked at 145 (7 day moving average) on April 13, and are now at 7. Deaths have remained fairly consistent during this second wave of new cases. This second wave of new cases seems to be due to social gatherings and the re-opening of restaurants and bars...which I'm assuming is mostly younger folks.

Thanks for posting the MI charts Intrinsic.
Those are the same ones I get the numbers from.
I ain't figured out how to post images through my xbox yet.
I'm wondering how many states look like those CA charts...those patterns look horrendous.

The Truth About Corona Virus
California has the worst stats. Texas and Florida are rapidly catching up like dark horses in a race. I thought Texas would pass Us by the end of the week but California keeps kicking it up!!!!

All roads lead to dark winter
the intolerance of the old order is emerging from the rosy mist in which it has hitherto been obscured.

The Truth About Corona Virus
Looks like MI's second wave of new cases has leveled out the last couple weeks, and deaths are down to 4 per day (7 day moving average).
Seems pretty low to me but......BE AFRAID!!!
Not only has our governor criminalized not wearing a mask and failure to social distance...
...and threatened businesses with license revocation if their employees do not enforce her order...
...and directed the state police to commit resources to specifically enforce her order...
...and directed DHHS (health departments) to close businesses not enforcing her order...
...she is now also directing MIOSHA (enforces workplace safety standards) to spot check businesses...
...MIOSHA will conduct spot checks of high-traffic businesses, both randomly and by referral...
...MIOSHA could issue citations and penalties up to $7,000.
Businesses are currently required to enforce mask-wearing by both employees and customers and post signs notifying customers about COVID-19 policies under an executive order from Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
They are also required to have a preparedness and response plan in the event a customer or employee tests positive, conduct daily health screenings of employees, adopt enhanced cleaning protocols, maintain social distancing and limit capacity.
One small problem.....she does not have the authority to do any of these things.
I guess I live in a dictatorship state now.
This virus must be really fukking serious for her to do such a thing...I mean like HUGE !!
Let's run some numbers...
MI has a population of approximately 10 million...with an average life expectancy of 78.3 years.
So we can expect a normal death rate of 350 people every day.
At the peak of 145 (7 day moving average) deaths per day, it was an assumed 41.4% increase.
But that is overstated, because anyone that died who had ever tested positive, or exhibited any symptoms at death even though testing negative, regardless of how they actually died, were counted as covid deaths.
Currently we are at a 1.15% increase over normal, with those same overstatement conditions in effect.
So, the question is...does that warrant the governor's actions?
I'm curious to know what you all think aboot that.
