Awesome. Not as many wildflowers but the hot rocks are comin in heavy.

Looking back. Beside the <insert over-used adjective here> view, Mount Lassen, Ishi wilderness and Tahoe all lost in the distance, It is such a great feeling, ya jes havta try it for yerselfs.

Where I watch the evening show unfold, intense Alpine Glow.

Next day and into the Carson Iceberg Wilderness.

Heading towards the Ebbitts wildfire. Be at the edge of it by tonight. Turned out not a problem, but had closed the PCT trail a week earlier. Having to take time off for that stupid bear canister court date I ended up missing the closure; at least sumptin' good came out of the lost time.

There's the fire right in the canyon right below me. Fwiw I named it wrong in the previous post, it's called the Dardanelles fire. Heh.

Evening camp and tent.

Next Mourning. Whoa, night temps dropping into freezing, the spring iced over in mourning! Which is why I'm setting the tent up almost every night now.
