Woo hoo!
Things are starting to happen.
The cabbage and Thia chilies were the first to pop.

Leeks and onions

Sweet bell peppers finally popped. when the weather turned warm.

Just planted the tomatoes, squash and beans seeds. fresh veggies soon - Woo Hoo! Sure missed the garden last summer

today i got tomato seeds up. waiting on melons to sprout.
is warming up but still under 50º at night. soon i can plant.
my potato in trash can is doing well. added dirt 2 times so far.
my other potato's are up now also. garlic is doing well.

put tomato sprouts outside covered today.
i just read something about tomatoes.
they used to sell iron starter pots for them.
the reason is the rust from the iron makes tomatoes
ripen faster. some people used iron nails in the soil.
so i added ironite a iron supplement for lawns.
will see how that goes. i grow mostly in wood 1/2 wine
barrels. makes weeding easy got 15 or more of them now.
i prepped the bean one the two tomato and melon barrels
today also. i might plant beans tomorrow.
my 1st melons are sprouting inside. after all sprout outside
under cover they will go.

Ya keep adding soil as the potato plant grows. I assume that's to encourage the potato tubers to fill up the space?

nice mine are still sprouts but doing good outside so far.
a shallow well runs 2 houses here. so not much water in summer.
there is another well next to my house. i have a pump in it and a pipe
to a faucet for hoses. i have a gen that i put next to well chained to post.
that is my water to use for garden. in spring i get about 10 min of water out
of it. in late summer i am lucky to get 2 1/2 min out of it. that limits how
much i can plant. i have flower beds and veg's so does take water.
i planted beans today. soon i need to sort calla lillys and get planted.
i have to dig them up every year. so there sitting in a box with shavings.
i built a flower bin for them belly high so easy to dig and fill. in fall when
they get dug up i put soil into 2 large trash cans. so in spring i can set bulbs
and cover from the cans. makes a little less work.
