started a potato in a old garbage can month ago.
i noticed it was up today. small but is growing.
i can plant my other potato's any time now.
fun fact:: and photo: i chit my seed potato's. that means i pick
off all but one eye off the potato. then set in a sunny window
a month or so. the eye on the potato now is a clump.
makes bigger potato's from the plant. i also use a whole potato.
the rest has to wait. start seeds at end of this month.

i planted my other potato's today.
also 2 yacons and some flower seeds.
is about it for now in 2 weeks or so can start some seeds indoors.

I turned the garden over. Started onions, leeks and pepper seeds indoor. nothing has popped yet.
Interestingly i have no need to grow canna this year.

Lrus, is that one potato plant in per garbage can? How many potatoes per plant do you expect?

yes is one in the trash can.
i planted it early it is up now.
i will add dirt as i can to it.
how many i will get i do not know yet.
is my 1st try at doing it.

I built the nesting box yesterday and bought 8 chickens.
Probably be about three weeks before the coop is done.

Too many foxes round here to even think about chickens....they even ate the neighbour's poor lil Guinea pigs.

This coop is backed right up to a creek, just about everything native to California will be able to walk right up to it.

Today I’m burying wire cloth around the outside of the frame so nothing can dig under.

Yeah Innie, I've been smoking on a gift of a big bag of Blue Dream I helped a friend grow in their yard last year. And it was nothing like the haul you got. Smells just like Fremont Lush IPA, I like combining the two for a symbiotic session or two.

I've had potatoes sprout in the sack and planted them. You'll find more digging around in the area for a couple of years if they like where you planted them. I think they're quite pretty too.
