In Bill Drakes "Cultivators Guide" from the mid 1970s he describes two methods . One is composted marijuana and the other is the traumatic basket. Both are old techniques practiced in the third world.

Drakes books weren't all that good for teaching you how to grow but the're weren't many book out at that time. Not to mention you could have a hard time even finding a place that sold them.
If Muley can scruff along i can too.

There were really no genetics around anyway back then amenable either to outdoor cultivation in 90% of North America or to indoor cultivation under the fluorescent lights of the day in any case, although people did anyway. Once the indicas arrived from Central Asia in the late seventies and people started using HID lighting, almost anyone could successfully grow a crop of flowers in a closet or backyard.

clumbo gold

ok got bro and another old timer together. just to try it out.
so ground up a bunch in grinder. we all smelled it.
smelled like old except not as much earthy smell.
so rolled 3 joints with a roller and handed them around.
long ago was a lot of clumbo around. some tasted good
some like dirt or worse. so we are toking and talking and
agree it tastes like the better clumbos. but did seem closer
to panama red or acapulco gold. it did expand in lungs.
we all coughed on our joints. when we finished our joints we
all had resin on the lips. so did goo up ends like clumbo.
well the high was sedated not speedy in any way. last's
about a hour or so of being tired like. we all agreed to that.
was a bit dif then the same plant screen dried. it dries reddish also.
i have had it quite a few years. i just wanted to try a sun dried one.
thanks for looking

Jesús Malverde wrote:Here's a photo of the Stone Mountain Colombian Gold. A friend grew this stuff way back in the seventies indoors and I can say without hesitation this version is the real deal. I have no idea where they got the genetics, it's hardly the sort of thing most growers want to deal with growing, it's slow to mature and the yield isn't great. The analytics say it's 13% THC, which is on the low side for modern pot, but it still seems plenty strong to me and the buzz is really sweet.
