After enjoying the fruits of your labors, we all need a place to chill. This is that place. Totally senseless irrelevant banter encouraged.

But how will you judge this? :smoke:
Well in all honesty you can't really very well. You wait, then take what you accept as an assessment of where you've got to and then compare it to a hypothetical assessment of where you'd have been had you made the opposite choice. It may be clear, or perhaps equally likely you may be miles off in your hypothetical. Hindsight is therefore likely to be closer to blind than 20/20.

All we know is that Brexit is almost certain to fuck up trade with the EU (and the rest of the world due to the onerous condition that the UK cannot even *begin* to negotiate trade agreements with other non-EU entities until officially out of the EU).

Here's the potted version of what to expect:

Doesn't sound like fun.

David Davis has been accused of “blatant lying” after admitting the UK government has done no impact assessments for the implications of Brexit on sectors of the British economy. He previously indicated the work had been done.
Davis also conceded there had been no economic impact report undertaken before the cabinet decision to leave the customs union, and no assessment had been made of the possible economic effect of a no-deal Brexit.
The economic effects of Brexit could match the financial crisis, according to Davis. He said it was impossible to predict because it will be a “paradigm shift” in the same way as the crash of 2008.
The Brexit secretary made the admissions during a grilling by the Commons Brexit Committee, which had demanded the assessments were released by the government after Davis and other members of the government signaled they existed. Labour forced a vote in the Commons, with the outcome requiring the government to release them. Officials later released 850 pages of analysis.

No Prawn, its about the UK trying to extricate itself from the United States of Europe, so that we can truly have self determination again as a sovereign state, and not have to kow-tow to a bunch of overpaid and unelected officials in Brussels.

Even if it leads to some economic hard-ship for a while, I reckon that it will be well worth it. It is possible that the UK could become the Singapore of Europe, once finally dislodged from the gargantuan bureaucracy of the EEC.

The UK should just walk away and VERY HARD BREXIT, not giving the Brussel Sprouts a penny more, waving two fingers at them, since they make far more from Britain than Britain ever made from them.

I wasn't. We've got our collective heads so far up Uncle Sam's arse we don't know where the "A" in America ends and Australia begins. We're like Gilligan to your Skipper.

Thank god for cricket - it's the one point of difference.

Ahh no its not mate, don't forget the Rugger too. At least you lot are not dressing up as a bunch of power rangers on steroids calling the game 'Football' when the foot hardly touches what is not really a 'ball', but some sort of large egg looking thing. and the action only lasts an average of 4 seconds per play.

PLUS, you have Aussie rules footie and a whole bunch of roo's too.

The Future of Progressive Politics is Being Etched in Code

Within weeks of Corbyn’s election, a supporter named Jon Lansman started Momentum, a grassroots organization that aimed not only to protect Corbyn’s position, but also to see him elected prime minister. By 2016, Momentum had a paid, formal membership structure, and cells in different UK cities. Within each cell, groups organized themselves into circles of interest—a structure borrowed from the Occupy movement. By the time of the election, the group had roughly 27,000 members, all committed to using their skills to aid Corbyn.
