Taming the wild west

Post by TheGhost »

I will post a grow log of my guerilla growing exploits here if you don't mind.

It's nearly the start of spring and I have been busy setting up some grow spots.

I am putting in a winter/spring grow, in the hope of getting some buds by the end of spring.

This also makes me get my spots ready early, so I wont be behind for the summer grow.

Some are new spots, and some are old spots that haven't been used for years, and are being fixed up and put back into use.

A lot of work involved, and I'm not finished yet.

In fact I might keep scouting new spots and setting up new grows right till the weather gets too hot to be doing the hard work.

I'm a grow addict.

Strains for the winter/spring grow will be Bubba's Gift x Black widow, a very resiny and nice smelling strain, just not the biggest yeilder because of the Bubba Kush in it.

Also some Critical Mass F2's.

These are grown from seed I made.

Growing from clones would have been easier, but I didn't have the mother plants ready in time.

Let the journey begin!

Some in the photo above are looking like they are overwatered, but they will be right once the sun shines on them.

This photo was taking early in the morning after a cold night.

Got another 8 to go in, but now I feel the pressure is off to get them out there.

Good luck. I'm guessing this is Western Straya?

No, not exactly. I'm just using the terminology "The wild west" to draw an anology with the early settlers who ventured off into the wilderness and cleared the land by hand and made farms.

Taming the wild west

Post by TheGhost »

Been out of action with a cold for the last week, hopefully I can get out there in a couple of days.

There has been no rain for a long time, and none on the horizon, and one patch that I set up this year, there is no water at the site, so I think I will have to abandon most of the plants there to their fate.
I am going to go there carrying a 10 litre water container in my pack next week, and give it all to the best looking plant, and then not go back till I think they would be near harvest.

If I give one plant 10 litres then that will tie it over till it eventually rains, but I can't carry enough water for all the plants as it is too far to travel.

I have a couple of 120 litre water reservoirs that I will put at that site, so in the future I will have water available at the spot to tie them over during dry periods.

So at the moment I have two spots in use with a water source, and two spots in use that have no water.

A good fall of rain would solve a lot of problems, but that's the game I guess, you are at the mercy of nature to a large part.

Went out to spot "CF" today, haven't been able to visit it for a while because of a cold.

Plants were dry and wilting, they needed watering a week ago, so I watered them.

Hopefully they will put on a bit of a growth spurt now.

Came close to treading on a snake on the way there, I think it was a death adder.
Got to dust off the snake gaiters as looks like the snakes are starting to come out.
