what you gonna grow for this season !!!
Next Year I'll grow some old fashion cannabis in the veggie garden along side the cucumbers and chilies, Now that personal growing is legal in cali. unless my county gets all draconian outlawing outdoor grows as some notable communities have here in cali since prop64 passage.
I am ready, long ready, to grow some 11 foot trees
this may be my last year running my hidden attic garden, end of an era ......

The leeks, chinese cabbage and broccoli are that all that is left after the cold storms. Next week is supposed to be the first real hard freeze of the year. So cabbage and leeks for dinner last night. Sautéed with ginger and lemon, served over buttered rice with soy sauce.

Sigh, I gave up trying to grow a garden I would get anything out of. Even put up a fence the last 2 years. Deer herd gets it all. I can say I do get 1 tomato off the plants each year. No exaggeration. Just fact.
So the deer gods are not completely cold hearted.

Thanks man! Ya meant cantaloupe, not watermelon, right?
Cantaloupes in North America are actually a misnomer for musk melon. A true cantaloupe, which we rarely see, is more common in France.
