Another spider mite question...

I'll betcha that's where they came from.
I got a bag of Miracle Gro that was infested once...
I swore to never buy that brand again.

Another spider mite question...

Miracle Gro might not be my favorite brand but it is consistently available here. I don't live in the Land of the Free where there is a hydro/pot store on every corner so I have to get what WallyWorld will bring me. I had no problems with pests for years at my old home. I bought my current place and it started out having the Borg! I love my home but I hate these damn bugs! :pullhair:

Meanwhile, my Avid delivery is running slow! My clones has all died and my mom is looking very bad. I should have ordered this stuff 2 or 3 weeks ago when I saw what was going on. Kick me in the ass!! :nutkick:

Another spider mite question...

I've got the Avid. I've got one stressed mother left so I need to make this work or I'm screwed.

Options?

1. Strip mother of strong branches to make clones. Cutting those will guarantee Mother will die so I go ahead and burn it and the Borg in it. Dip the clones in Avid and hope at least clone lives. Find new Mother and flower those clone-lings.

or

2. Spray the mother every 3-4 days until infestation ends and Mother is stronger. Take clones then and let this healthy Mother flower ASAP. Meanwhile, the clones root and veg using the Avid.

It is my understanding that I should never spray the Avid on flowering plants. I assume I can stray the Avid all thru the vegging cycle? Will the chemicals degrade over the 2 months it takes for the flowering cycle to complete?

Also, I must try to sterilize grow room. I've read to wipe down the room with bleach or alcohol. Any other suggestions for cleaning the room from the spider mites?

I'd go with option 2, after removing any unnecessary leafs.
it should only require a few applications.
btw, Avid should not be sprayed on clones while they're rooting.
although avid is systemic, I just wouldn't use any leafs treated directly,
but all the buds grown afterward should be fine.
also be sure to clean the pots & sterilize your soil: http://www.myplanetganja.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=6353" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've used neem oil successfully for 15 years and have never seen another spider mite. Use full strength until the bugs are gone, then use 1/2 or 1/4 strength for maintenance.
