Post by Lrus007 »

well cloned plant then gave it 2 weeks.

at first it looked like male small crab claw type leafs.

so kept eye on it and then 1 day seen 2 white hairs
on a side branch. well then the next day when i looked
the tops that had claw leafs had a flush of hairs across them.

so it is a female and has a interesting bud growth to it.
thanks for looking :smoke:

but no better than many common polyhybrids
i often witnessed just the opposite (with sativas)

the best highs were from no-names, if id havd to choose 5 all time favs, only 1 - original haze - would make it into the list

btw anybody intrested in genuine balkan sativas - collected some 50 seeds during my vacation

The no name Affie cultivar I grew was about the same in potency as the better named similar types like SensiStar and Aurora Indica. So, indeed, better than most.

Jesús Malverde wrote:Take it from someone who grew Afghani farmer's cultivars for years: Make seeds from it. The weed it produces will probably be good but no better than many common polyhybrids, the real value in a variety like this is its genetic stability--the seed it produces. Growing only one is essentially a waste of what's there.

No the SensiStar I grew was fine weed. Good solid commercial line, but no more potent or better than a random farmer's cultivar smuggled out as seed from Afghanistan. And the farmer's cultivar bred true across multiple generations whereas I doubt the SS would do likewise. Which for me is a huge advantage--let a male or two live in one patch and you have perfectly good free seed for the next several years that you can count on to perform. F1s and polyhybrids are really inferior genetics from the buyer's perspective, even if the potency is there for now.
