No not f1’s … yet. An heirloom from Seed Savers Exchange, donated to the library’s seed bank.
Shortly I will “return” the “borrowed” seeds to the library, jes like a book. Purty cool eh?
Next year will be the f1s

i have a pack of chilli seeds " gypsy F1"

i am itching to sow stuff but its way too early, i may sow the seeds indoors and put them under a tube light

Gypsy, i wonder if that is the same gypsy i have? mine is a sweet to fruity chilli. does that fit the description?

^ well i sowed the seeds of the gypsy today, even though i cant put them outdoors till mid-may. right now they are at the windowsill, all 12 seeds in a small seedling pot with some cling film wrapper around it... i may use my tube lights to start them off......

This sort of turbocharged Mendelian selection process could now be legally carried out in WA or CO on cannabis to sort and select traits for breeding without the months long wait at each iterative step along the way. One could probably do decades worth of breeding in a single year!
