struck some cuts last week - roots out the bottom of the cup in 8 days. gotta love coco.

all done, time for a short summary:

after circumstances meant a change from the 600w to the 400w hps three of them turned out to be males. weak. that gave me a total of six plants from four unique mothers.

the main traits i observed were (squat vs stretchy), (6 week vs 9 week), and (big yield vs small yield). taste, aroma, and effect are all similar.

my keeper is the big yielding 9 weeker that has so little stretch that it seems to actually slow down in 12/12 and proceeds to stack bud upon bud into a large cola. even the lower limbs stopped stretching as soon as they hit direct light. i don't think the main stem had one internode longer than an inch. plus despite having the largest buds it required no support at all.

the total yield was a little disappointing due to losing the three males and having the remaining six split between big yield phenos and small yield phenos. 237g, which is 8.5oz. the big ones were around 50g, the small ones half that.

here's pics of the two big ones (same mother), leafed and deleafed. apologies for the shitty quality, my camera went missing.

the smoke is entirely bland and boring, and extremely average, but at least it's not actively unpleasant.

I just finished a Chronic grow myself.

Does not seem to be what it was years ago.

Mine were pretty bland and boring as well.

Suffice to say she got binned.

Back in the 90's it was a nice smoke, few breeders seem to be able to maintain quality genetics.
