lol, my neighbors are still cracking me up too,
by the way they water their lawns...
just standing there for hours on end,
with their hoses in their hands, waving them about,
as if that's the only way to do it... manually.
or as if they don't have anything better to do,
or they just don't realize how much time they could save,
by getting a cheap sprinkler attachment.
I'm telling ya, they look like fucking idiots.

but now I suppose they're either just extras...
in this Sims Universe game we exist in,
in the quantum computers of the future..
or else their players failed to program them with anything better to do,
before logging out of the game..
or maybe they actually just forgot to log out.

Hosing is heaps of fun, trance like meditative goodness, late afternoon, give all the kids a good drink, tryin to dodge mozzies. I miss living where water wasn't so scarce.

Ahh unwinding with a hose in hand reminds of a story …

When I was just a lad, the next door neighbors whom had 9 kids, Slavic emigrants, and one of the older boys had a canna plant growing in the back yard. A nice one a I helped him start up. The dad every day after work would be out in the back with hose in hand watering the ornamental plants along the fences to unwind from work and avoid the shrew wife and kids, likely his only alone time.
He watered it daily almost to term, not a clue what it was.
Till rippers finally stole it (yet another story in itself).
