Question for gearheads, mechanics and shade tree mechanics
>> My car doesn't have ANY zerk fittings.
The 86 corolla does. Just 2 in the ball joints.
I shoot greese into them at about every 5000 miles.
>> You are correct though...that is based on average factors. Heavy idling is a contributing factor as well. Dusty roads....etc...etc.
Don't forget
Lots of short trips. Especially in winter.

The only reason I pointed that out is that it is further proof of changing technologies. If you had asked any mechanic 30 years ago if they thought cars wouldn't have zerk fittings they'd have laughed you out of the shop.
I don't recall the name of it but, there is an oil reconditioning system that truckers are using where you never have to change your oil....it reconditions and reuses it...all you have to do is keep it topped off.
Take care,

The only things that pickameup could haul are probably cotton balls and ass.
I assume you'd use another rig for movin' manure around

Question for gearheads, mechanics and shade tree mechanics
Hey boo - nice trucks.......
Any chance of cleaning up all that electrical shit hanging under the dash - not that it offends me or anything - but neatness counts.......
Are you running nitrous in that pickup.......
