Checking in from the Trinity Alps wilderness, line of sight to Scotts Valley Down Yonder.

All Trails seem to go up even when they're supposed to go down. Averaging at 7,000' now. Was at sea level

Trinity Alps Wilderness, July 20

East Boulder Lakes and camp, July 20

In Callahan town now, 5th resupply 60 days days out. Seasons are changing, Spring flowers gone; summer flowers on. Sunset earlier, geology and forest changing, feel distinctly in California now.
Spruces and coastal fog, distance past. Hello sugar pines and granite.

Lassen Nation park is closed, and further south more fire closures. Appears i will not be able to continue on much more, maybe two weeks.

Flower Garden. purple fire weed, orange Tiger Lily and white Cows Parsnip

Picture Plant. A Carnivorous plant, an insect eater.

Split open "stalk" reviling various insects in digestive process. whew! gave off a putrid horrible smell.

Porcupine Lake just after an afternoon shower.

Mount Shasta, Barely seen through the Smoke from the Dixie and other wildfires.

The Castle Crags, even smokey hazy up close.

On a positive note: Shit is cool as hell (for me). Your journey, although cut short, is much appreciated as I've been lurkin'.
