Out of service -emergency repair call

I would never presume to tell anyone what to do, especially medically.

I received a message from my Cardiology nurse this AM relating to the ECHO I had Friday that was testing the results of the CTO PCI I had done in mid-September.

"I received your ultrasound results today which shows the strength of your heart has improved from 25-30% to 45%. Normal strength of the heart is > 50%. Your heart is still a little bit weak, but greatly improved from previous. We will continue your current medications as is. No need for defibrillator at this time."

CTO (Chronic Total Occlusion), PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention).

Dr. Taishi Hirai - University of Missouri, Cardiology. Dr. Hirai mentored under Dr. J. Aaron Grantham. After my first failed CTO PCI (bumped up against radiation exposure limits), also in September, Dr. Hirai called in Dr. J. Aaron Grantham and they both worked 4 or 5 hours on me.

So latest update is that I got a pacemaker / defibrillator device and could get shocked at any time to keep my heart working but it looks like catastrophic cardiac events although still a definite possibility are likely not to render me deceased as I now am equipped with a battery backup.

Had my CTO PCI not delivered the results it did my Dr. was going to recommend a defibrillator.

I'm still a little shocked by the results of the procedure according to the ECHO follow-up. I don't feel the improvement indicated
