You know there are many type's of novel Coronavirus vaccines in existence already. The Chinese, the first, is offering it to the World free. They are not making money off of it that I know of, what have you heard?

To be clear warp speed is not about the development of vaccines, speed is about the Manufacturing/distributation. Having enough doses ready in case one of the trials proved fruitful. It's a Gamble. Parallel development. And there were no shortcuts, no fast pace going through the testing trials.
There is some legit critique of the inhumanity of animal testing tho imho.

As far as George Carlin 'n your argument, the Mrna vaccine supplements then teaches our immune system new ways to be effective. It works the way God intended our immune system to work. It would not make us less vulnerable only stronger for other related viruses. But Not the living germs such as protozoa causing food poisoning, that you brought up.
