Australian raptors start fires to flush out prey

In the first recorded instance of fire being used by animals other than humans, three Australian birds of prey species have been seen carrying burning twigs to set new blazes. John Pickrell reports.

Australian Aboriginal lore is replete with references to birds carrying fire, and some traditional ceremonies even depict the behaviour. Now ornithologists have collected accounts from witnesses across the savannas of Australia’s far north, known as the Top End, suggesting three Australian birds of prey species use smouldering branches to spread fires and scare prey into their waiting talons.

new diamonds found in russis

The new diamonds were formed by volcanic gases under pressure and are a result of crystallization “under the influence of electrical discharges of lightning,” geologists say. Russia's Far Eastern diamonds, could be the natural realization of a 1964 French patent which suggested producing synthetic diamonds from gas using an extra powerful electric discharge, scientists say.

Hi guys!
Sorry for being lazy, and/or absent...
As life goes on, I went through some changes here n there ... id say positive changes ... when I sum it up

It was December when my grandmother got her heart stroke and had to be hospitalized, for me this was a moment to pack my 7 things and to leave Berlin... man what a hard decision, fucking family ruins my life is all I could think of. Leaving the best and one and only city worthwhile living in dirty Germany was a hard punch into my face, those that don't know, Berlin is a 24/365 city that never sleeps and freedom and anarchy are a big part of its culture. Yeah, im selfish in that regard... had to move back to the country side to take over responsibility for the life of a 84 year old ... fuck, blood is thicker than water ... so i also lost my beloved job at the growshop/hydrostore ... no more customers that give me free weed as a tip ... all the great things that made my dreams a reality were gone and lost... instead I had an old granny i have to take care of ... bummer ...fuck fuck fuck ... typical reaction when your dreams stop ...

So, what next ? ...

Googled around and found something behind the border, well, im in close proximity of Austria , not Australia lol, anyways, I wrote an email, totally against all forms and teachings, explaining my situation and my knowledge - as some of you know - planted my first illegal plant back in 1992, to another growshop that is only 15 minutes away in Austria, and against all odds, I got a response back from the owner, even a positive one ... w000t ..
Yeah ..
So yesterday i went to the interview and guess what ..

Im starting on Monday with my new job!

And here is the deal: cuttings are legal in Austria , yeah baby, im gonna work legally with ganja plants and beeing paid for it :woohoo:
But that's not all, all cbd stuff is legal too, so im gonna sell weed and hash and extracts as well ! And that all just 15 minutes away from my old granny

It would be enough already, but wait, there is more lol

There is a new future mrs deran waiting for me, well she fell in love with me last time she visited me in Berlin, and we are going to move together for a cheaper life and of course to finally grow some weed again in our own 4 walls, that's what I've been missing the most... and i can take the shortcut via cuttings and save some time, compared to seeds ..yes!
Haven't checked it out yet if my new workplace has also an English version, that's up to you to find out and to report it back : drgreen.at , that's the daddy, as you see, also a huge amount of genetics ... well and my ex-co workers also asked me to send them a parcel or two with some cutz hehe

I feel like the guy in the book : the alchemist, who traveled the whole world in search of " something" ,just to find out, that all he searched for - and more, was already waiting for him at home

Im a lucky bastard, rly i am .. next problems will be, which strain is next on the list ... lol

Don't wait and ask me if you got any questions

Nice to be home again
Nicer that home has improved
Nicest that I got you to share it with

:smoke:

Im in a 50k village, the Job is a 5k village ... somehow lol
But it's more about the region, supporting local growers, and most probably many from Germany too, how should I call them, maybe plant tourists hehe

Btw dill, you can find all the genetics we are working with also on the homepage: https://drgreen.at/PFLANZEN (choose between cuttings and seedlings , as automatics are also at offer), that's just the actual / local list - the plants / mothers growing in the back of the shop, where 12 X 600 hps lights are shining in vegi mode, as far as I understood we can organize any genetics that are floating around in Austria, im not sure, didn't asked from where they are coming from, but I would guess that flowerfields is also a supporter , here is their list

https://www.floweryfield.com/shop/pflan ... erpflanzen

I also wouldn't be surprised that customers donated their selected genetics that aren't on the list yet, or even my new co-workers, or me lol
Besides that, we have a huge selection of seeds from breeders all over the world, for those that want a twist of given selections/cuts ... no 2 plants are similar , for example if someone likes his orange bud more lemony, or wants his ssh with a different growth factor, like more bushy or more SOGy (nice word creation, isn't it lol)

The only limit is the law, so we don't send outside of Austria officially, but what i do after work in my personal time, is just my business. Meaning that i can take a small cutting and do with it whatever i want to , yeah !

Well, it was the other way around
I had to move away from Berlin and wrote just an email, how do they say, right into the blue, asking for work, it was just a try, I didn't knew that he was looking for someone, and it wasn't the only email that I wrote to shops in our industry, he was the only one that gave me a positive answer
The other things that speak for me are my experiences that I had in Berlin, and also the facts that i used my moderator statuses at old PG and at the german growing forums, also as the facts that i have lots of pictures showing my growing skills and that i started in the early 90s with this illegal hobby

Think of professional hit-mens, their work speaks for itself
I mean, a picture is worth more than 1000 words, and showing off different grows that are far beyond the magical 1g/Watt would tell me, hey, he knows his shit
Maybe this, or the fact that im also an political activist, im always pro for legalization hehe
I didn't had to loose anything, besides some time writing emails, so I gave them a chance to profit of my knowledge and my know hows. And I was selling not sellable stuff via tele-marketing outbound, even being a project leader in that field, having literally 100s of minions below me. And if you ever tried selling outbound lottery tickets, you can guess how hard this is.
So im having both needed experiences for this job.

very cool deran,

"Car nation" Germany has surprised neighbours with a radical proposal to reduce road traffic by making public transport free, as Berlin scrambles to meet EU air pollution targets and avoid big fines. From a report:
The move comes just over two years after Volkswagen's devastating "dieselgate" emissions cheating scandal unleashed a wave of anger at the auto industry, a keystone of German prosperity. "We are considering public transport free of charge in order to reduce the number of private cars," three ministers including Environment Minister Barbara Hendricks wrote to EU Environment Commissioner Karmenu Vella in the letter seen by AFP Tuesday.

ever heard of cannabis infused sugar?

The Crypto Sanctum’s menu, viewed by WIRED, subtly noted that some of the condiments served were “infused.” But some attendees said they did not see the menu or understand its message. A few menu items explicitly stated that they contain cannabis—cocktails, cannabis-marinated olives, and sugar for coffee and tea—but others simply say “infused” without explaining what the infusion is.
