Is it time for a third Intifada or Too Late

Thats the question facing Palestinians today. Is there still any hope for Nationhood or has that been made impossible by the occupation's "facts on the ground" that have turned the West Bank into an archipelago of bantustans surrounded and overlooked by an exclusive Israeli Infrastructure of settlements? This depends in large measure on weather or not the choking of East Jerusalem off from contiguity with putative "Palestine" now, or soon will be, too complete to undo.

Without at least East Jerusalem, there is no viable Palestine. Just a collection of Arab hill towns and a ghetto by the sea. The whole justification for Palestinian nationality is Jeruselam, particularly the east and the Muslim holy sites. Netanyahu's recent moves to complete the Israeli settlement cordon, if allowed to stand, will make a two state solution impossible.

Then, when a two state solution is impossible, it becomes, eventually, an anti-apartheid/civil-rights struggle. That possibility, or probability - depending on how far you see the course having gone, carries a far greater existential threat to Zionist
Israel than even a Hamas controlled independent Palestine.

But what about my arguments? Can you see a Palestine without at least sovereignty over all of East Jerusalem including the holy sites? That without it they don't really have a collective nationality. That if this truth is acknowledged, it becomes a civil rights issue that will eventually destroy Zionist Israel?

I've been thinking along the lines of the inevitability of this becoming a civil rights struggle since the early 90s when the water diversions first made Palestinian national viability questionable, and has only been reinforced by developments since. My current thesis casts Marwan Bhargouti as his people's Mandela demanding one person one vote.
