In light of my recent break through in quality I have decided to expand my capacity.
I picked up a 12 ft length of 2 in copper drain pipe and 10 pressure caps for a cost of 200.00 and I am making 10- 2"x12" devices and the capacity of each is about 150 grams.
I am going to mount 4 of them in an airtight cabinet with air being pushed through it and be able to process 1 lb at a time with minimal risk. I figure 4 cans each should yield up to 15 grams per device.
So 80.00 in butane should produce 60 grams of shatter.
I have had to Mcguyver a rack for inside my chamber with 3 levels.

i would have bought some glass tubes.
but that's me. a lb at a time would be nice tho.
i have a 20" and a 12" x2" glass blasting tubes.
was told the 20" will hold 4-5 oz.

I tried 150g not too densely packed and it was perfect. The copper is much thinner than the glass tube. I asked about Stainless and they have it but it comes in 20 foot lengths. I had a heck of a time getting the 12 footer home on my bike but managed with the trailer.

I am making great progress with this and am just about ready for the first run.
I used silicone to glue the valves in the caps and I can still smell it so it needs more curing time.

fuck butane

use dexso instead, which is di-methyl-aether , chemically speaking = CH3-O-CH3 , or you can purchase di-etyhl-aether, which is a liquid at room temps, DME is not, its a gas, anyways :
- more yields
- more terpens
- more cannabionoids (not that thc selective like butane, and better suited for medical applications)
- more efficient, about 50% more than the same amount of butane
- less toxic for your body
- lower freezing point - > faster, easier and better purge
- less explosive

i use a coffee filter at the end of the tube, double folded, better results than a 25µ screen, as coffee filters are about 4µ

as far as purging goes, i blast either directly into destilled water or into 96% ethanol in order to break up the molecular bonds

there is just this no no no in my head, when i see ppl purging at near full vacuum for hours and hours, its against my logic, i dunno why, but my mind is telling my that you are loosing more than that what you are gaining, unfortunately i have no lab test to back up my theory

also what i love to do, when weather and sun are on my side is sun purging, and what should i say, once sun purged you wont come back for anything else, its nearly the same as lighting up your bowl with a magnifynig glass, even enails dont cant keep up wth that flavor

duran i had looked into it before but i looked again.
there is no place in the USA that sell's it here.
i wanted to try it but never could find any.
