so im over a friends house showing off my latest assault rifle and girlfriend

and were standing in the living room and his parents drive up
and his dad HATES my father for some reason

my friend just sinks and says "my father hates guns"

I walked 15 feet to the left and just it down on the carpet
in plain sight

folks walk in
we exchange pleasantry's

they head off to their room

I swing a few glances between my friend and the girl
as i walk over and pick up my rifle

you know for five minutes there the world wasn't bearing down
